Stupid questions. Part one.

I have to admit, I hate stupid questions.

Not ones from people where they don't know something. "How do I shut down Windows?" is NOT a stupid question. "How do I cook a steak?" is NOT a stupid question.

No. It's the ones like this - At a job interview. They ask you "Why are you leaving your current position?

Seriously? If it's because I hate the current job, I'm not going to tell you that. So I'll make something up about needing a new challenge. Or wanting to extend myself. Or something else. And if it's because I do want something like that, then you'll hear that anyway. The interviewer isn't going to want to hear anything negative. So nothing negative will be said.

So, why ask it?
